From Philadelphia, Montgomery/Bucks Counties and points south: Take 476 North (NE Extension of the PA Turnpike) to Exit 74 – Mahoning Valley. Pay toll, then bear left taking 209 South. At the second traffic light (end of bridge), make a right and follow 209 South for approximately ½ mile. (You will pass Dunkin Donuts on your right). Proceed onto Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Blvd. (209 South will turn into a 2 lane one direction roadway). On the right you will see the Lehighton Outdoor Center building (gray building with maroon roof). After you pass the building, take the first right onto N. Main Lane (turn right when you see the white CCMA (Carbon County Municipal Authority) sign) and immediately make another right onto Lehigh Drive. Proceed 2/10 of a mile on Lehigh Drive. From Northern New Jersey/New York, and Route 80: Take 80 West through New Jersey into Pennsylvania. From Central NJ, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Route 78: Take Route 78 West through NJ into Pennsylvania. 78 passes Easton, Bethlehem and Allentown. Pass exits for Lehigh Street and Tilghman Street then take 309 North to Route 22 West. Follow 22 West for one exit to Route I-476 North (PA Turnpike). From the North without toll roads: Take 115 South for approximately 3 miles and proceed to PA 903 South towards Jim Thorpe. Stay on 903 South for about 17 miles. You will come down a mountain and enter the little town of Jim Thorpe. As 903 South ends you will cross the A J Baddick Bridge. At the end of the bridge turn left onto 209 North. You will see train tracks and the river on your left. At the stop light (Susquehanna Street) turn left . Stay on 209 North. You will pass Turkey Hill on your right. Proceed up the mountain passing Bagel Bunch on your right. You will be on 209 North about 3 miles and enter the Borough of Lehighton. At the second stop light turn left (Claypool’s General Store will be on your left and the Lehighton Park will be on your right). At the stop sign at the bottom of the hill ,go straight across the bypass onto North Main Lane. When on N. Main Lane, take the first immediate right onto Lehigh Drive. Proceed about 2/10 of a mile on Lehigh Drive. You have arrived!! Jim Thorpe River Adventures and the Lehighton Outdoor Center are on your left.
